Biography
Liselotte Mostinckx (1983) sang in the youth choir - De Ghespeelkens - which made a recording of choral repertoire of Flemish composers like Vic Nees' - Memoria Justi - conducted by Johan Duyck (In Flanders' Fields Vol.22). As a child she studied the violin for 9 years with teachers Walter Truyts and Dejan Mijajev and played in the Youth Symphony Orchestra Sjoe which had concerts in de Singel and made a concert tour in Michigan State.
Liselotte Mostinckx graduated at the conservatory of Maastricht in Solo singing with her teacher Axel Steven Everaert. She sang parts in several opera productions of the opera department. Currently she's following the Master Program.
She participated at the performance of ‘Dan ben ik straks zo'n diva', Credit Cards Called Life VI, directed by Inès Sauer. She contributed her talent also to other music theatre productions of music theatre Transparant: The Tempest, Zone Orfeo and Drift, opera's with music of Monteverdi and Purcell presented in a contemporary atmosphere. All productions except Zone Orfeo, were invited on the Youth Opera Festival (YO-festival) in Utrecht. The Drift performance, created for the Summer Festival of Antwerp, toured due to big success through many important city's in Belgium and the Netherlands and was selected for ‘Het Theaterfestival 2004' in Belgium.
Under direction of Koen Kessels, Liselotte sang Papagena in Mozart's Magic Flute at the Alden Biesen Summer Opera Festival. She's frequently asked as a soloist for the Operetta Society of Brussels. Liselotte performed on many stages in Flanders and the Netherlands, The Flemish Opera, concert halls in Louvain, Gent, Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Breda…
She reached the finals of the Music Award Maastricht organized by the Maastricht Rotary Club and left an inerasable impression on public and press.
Liselotte attended master classes with the Lakatos Ensemble, Raina Kabaivanska, Martina Arroyo, Sarah Walker, Nelly Miricioiù, Low Siew Tuan and the Vienna Master Class with Sylvia Geszty.
She studied two years in Florence with Margherita Rinaldi and prepared 10 roles with her: Gilda, Suzanna, Despina, Adina, Norina, Amenaide, Lucia, Amina, Ilia and Giulietta. She studied simultaneously at the university of Florence during three months on the subjects Italian language and culture for which she received a diploma with maximum score and distinction.
Next season 2008-2009 Liselotte will make her opera debut as Adele in the theater of Görlitz as a member of the ensemble. Further roles include Musetta in La Bohème, Oscar in Un Ballo in Maschera, Bessie in Die Blumen von Hawai and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady.
She will continue traveling to Salzburg where she will continue polishing her voice under guidance of Barbara Bonney.
